WednesdayFuneral services for Mrs. Edgar Wright, 73, who died at Columbus, Wis., Saturday following an illness, will be held Wednesday at 2 p. m. at the McAuley and Son chapel with Doctor Lloyd A. Gustafson, pastor of the First Methodist church, officiating.
Mrs. Wright, nee Harriett Contell Ramsey, formerly lived in Mason City. She was born April 12, 1878, near Waukon, Iowa, and lived there until her marriage to Mark Ramsey in 1898. They lived at McGregor and Sanborn before coming to Mason City, where they resided 30 years before Mr. Ramsey's death in 1931.
She then moved to Oklahoma where she resided 4 years and then returned to Iowa before moving to Columbus, Wis. She was married to Edgar Wright March 30, 1944, at Waukegan, Ill., and they established their home at Columbus.
Mrs. Wright was a former member of the Milwaukee Woman's' club.
Surviving are her husband, two sons, Leslie Ramsey, Webster City, and Harold Ramsey, Kenosha, Wis., and two grandsons, Leslie Ramsey, Jr., Sioux City, and James Ramsey, Kenosha, Wis.; a brother, William Contell, Elkhart, Iowa, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Jane Redpath, Muskogee, Okla.
The body arrived in Mason City Tuesday via the Milwaukee Road, and will lie in state at the McAuley and Son funeral home. Interment will be at Memorial Park cemetery. The McAuley and Son funeral home is in charge.From: The Globe-Gazette (Mason City, Iowa)
