Esther L. Schultz, 77, of Waukon died Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Northgate Care Center in Waukon. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 5 at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon, with Rev. Lynn G. Groe officiating. Burial will be at Dorchester Methodist Cemetery, Dorchester. Friends may call from 10:30 - 11 a.m. Thursday, February 5 at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon.

Esther Loraine Schultz was born November 5, 1931, the daughter of Henry and Mary (Burroughs) Schultz in Union City Township, rural Dorchester. She was a lifelong resident of Allamakee County, she grew up near Dorchester and lived at Makee Manor from 1986 to 2006 before moving to Northgate Care Center. Esther enjoyed animals, music, car rides throughout Allamakee County, wearing jewelry and looking nice.

Survivors include staff and friends at Makee Manor and Northgate Care Center. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Loretta Spores and Anna Spores; and two brothers, Wilford and Raymond Schultz.
