Funeral Services for Postville Woman Held
POSTVILLE — Funeral services were Held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the Schutte funeral home for Mrs. Wright W. Enyart, 66, who died at her home northeast of here Sunday after an illness of a year. Curtis Webster was in charge of the service and burial was in the Postville cemetery.
As Ellen McWilliams she was born near here on March 7, 1876, the daughter of Nathaneal and Mary McWilliams. On Dec. 30, 1893 she was married in Postville to Wright W. Enyart after which they began farming near here.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a brother, Alex McWilliams of Minneapolis, Minn., two sisters, Mrs. Evan Swenson of Postville and Mrs. Anna Lawson of Postville, four sons, James of Luana, Hollis of Postville, Russell of the U.S. navy and Leo of the U. S. army, two daughters, Mrs. Gilbert Folsom of Postville and Mrs. Louis Powell of Waukon as well as 17 grandchildren.From the Globe-Gazette (Mason City, Iowa) October 22, 1942

Mrs. Wright W. Enyart, A Pioneer Resident; Passes Away Sunday.
Mrs. Wright W. Enyart passed away at her home near Volney on Sunday at 11:00 P.M. following a years illness. She was 66 years old and had spent her entire lifetime in Allamakee County. Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon at two o'clock in the Schutte Funeral Home in Postville with Curtiss Webster in charge of the services and interment will be in the Postville Cemetery.
As Ellen McWilliams she was born near Postville on March 07, 1876, the daughter of Nathaneal and Mary McWilliams. She had lived all of her lifetime in this community and moved with her family to Volney in 1936.
She was married to Wright W. Enyart on December 30, 1893, and to this union six children were born, James N., of Luana, Flossie (Mrs. Gilbert Folsom), of Postville, Hollis W., of near Postville, Ethel (Mrs. Louis Powell), of Waukon, Russell, now serving in the U. S. Navy, Leo, serving in the U. S. Army in Florida. All of these, together with the husband, survive, as do 17 grandchildren, one brother, Alex McWilliams, of Minneapolis, Minn., and two sisters, Mrs. Eliza Swenson and Mrs. Anna Lawson, both of Postville. Seven sisters and four brothers preceded her in death.
In 1905 she united with the U. B. Church at Bethel.
It was said of her that she never failed to answer a call for help from her neighbors and friends, and being a loving and kind mother she held uppermost the welfare of her family at heart.
