Death of Miss Ashbacher
Lois Minnie June Ashbacher passed away at her home in French Creek township Saturday, Jan. 15th, following a lingering illness of ten years, suffering from infantile paralysis.
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Ashbacher; was born June 29th, 1916 at their home in French Creek township, where she lived her entire life. She received her education in the home school, French Creek No. 2, was a bright, lovable girl, and during her long illness was a patient sufferer, and was tenderly cared for by her family.
She is survived by her parents, three sisters, Mesdames Geo. Verthein, Walter Ebner, French Creek; Melvin Buntrock, Cresco, Ia., and three brothers, Floyd, John and Jerome of French Creek township.
The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon from the French Creek M.E. church, Rev, M. McKinley officiating and burial was in the church cemetery. The cousins of the deceased acted as pallbearers: Merlin and Albert Bublitz, Dawson Ashbacher, Nathan Ashbacher, Earl and Raymond Zazulka.
