EITZEN, Minn. (Special) - Otto Schuttemeier, 91, New Albin, Iowa, a former resident here, died at his home Tuesday at, 6:15 a.m. following a long illness.
A retired farmer, he had been custodian at the New Albin Cemetery since 1944.
He was born Sept. 4, 1875, in Allamakee County to William and Elizabeth Schuttemeier. He married Frieda Hinrichs June 10, 1909 at St. John's United Church of Christ, rural Eitzen. He had lived in New Albin 23 years and was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ there.
Survivors are: His wife; two sons, Otto, Waukon. Iowa, and Martin, Denver, Colo.; one daughter, Mrs. John (Laura) Breeser, New Albin; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Six sisters and one brother have died.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at St. Peter's Church, New Albin, the Rev. Clyde Lee officiating. Burial will be in New Albin Cemetery.
Friends may call at Potter-Haugen Funeral Home, Caledonia, Thursday afternoon and evening and at the church Friday after 1 p.m.From: The Winona Daily News (Winona, Minn.) March 1, 1967
