Mrs. Alvina Wohlers
RENO, Minn. (Special) — Mrs. Alvina Wohlers, 72, died suddenly Tuesday at her home here, about 18 miles southeast of Caledonia.
She was born Feb. 6, 1887 in Allamakee County, Iowa, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Herman Ehlers, She married William Wohlers in October, 1907 and they were lifelong residents of the Reno area. He has died.
Survivors are three sons, Earl, New Albin, Iowa; Louis, Perry, Iowa, and Roy, Reno; one daughter, Mrs. Helen Welper; one brother, Albert, and one sister, Mrs. Anna Breezer, all of New Albin. There are eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, one daughter, two sisters and two brothers have died.
The Rev. Clifford Isaacson, New Albin, will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Friday at Crooked Creek Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Potter-Haugen Funeral Home, Caledonia, this afternoon and evening, and at the church for one hour before services.From the Winona Daily News (Winona, Minn.) September 3, 1959
