Mrs. Kohlmeyer Rites at Caledonia
Caledonia, Minn. —(Special)—Funeral services were held here this afternoon for Mrs. Henry Kohlmeyer, 84, who died Tuesday evening.
The Rev. Karl Gurgle conducted services at the Martin Schroeder home at 1:30 p. m, and at St. John's Lutheran church at 2 p. m, Burial was in Evergreen cemetery. :
Mrs. Kohlmeyer died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Martin Schroeder, four miles north of Caledonia. She had a stroke two years ago from which she never fully recovered.
Born March 16, 1865, the former Bertha Brinker, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benhardt Brinker of Allamakee county, Iowa.
She was married to Henry Kohlmeyer March 28, 1881 at Eitzen. They made their home on a farm in Mayville township for three years; then moved to the present farm in Caledonia township. |
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Henry (Emma) Koenig, Mrs. Martin Schroeder, Caledonia, and Mrs. Herbert (Luella) Wiebke, Prosper, Minn; one son. Otto, Caledonia: 13 grandchildren. 11 Great-grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Louise Deters, Fertile, Minn.: Mrs. Minnie Meyer.
