Funeral Services Held Monday For Mrs. Millie Marti

Services for Mrs. Millie Marti of Church were held Monday morning at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception church, Lansing. Mrs. Marti passed away on July 27 at her home following a lingering illness.

Millie C. Grimm was born in Lansing Township on April 28, 1876. She had lived in Allamakee county all of her life. On March 28, 1894, she was married to George Marti. One son, George V. was born who passed away a number of years ago. Surviving are one grandaughter and two great grandchildren. Her husband also preceeded her in death.

Burial was in Oak Hill cemetery, Lansing with Martin Bros. funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were William Deeney, Peter Conway, Edgar Riser, Kermit Wendel, Herman Kerndt and Herbert Hartong.

Mrs. Geo. Marti Funeral Monday
Last rites for Mrs. George Marti were held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 31, from Immaculate Conception church, Lansing, with burial in Oak Hill cemetery. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Scharphoff officiated and Martin's funeral home was in charge.

Pallbearers were William Deeny, Peter Conway, Edgar Riser, Kermit Wendel, Herman Kerndt, and Herbert Hartong.

Mrs. Marti, who was 85, died Friday following a lingering illness. Her home was in Lansing township, where she was born. She was the former Millie Clara Grimm, who was born on April 28, 1876. She was married at the home of George Marti, March 28, 1894. He prceeded her in death as did a son, George Marti. Remaining are one grandchild and two great granchildren, two brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Marti was a member of Immaculate Conception church at Lansing.
