In Loving Memory
Donna Arlene Harris, 75, Elgin, Iowa, formerly of Postville, Iowa, died Monday, January 12, 2009 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa, following a brief illness. Donna was born on January 30, 1933, Auburndale, WI, to Kenneth and Agnes (Olson) Ellis. Donna attended Marshfield High School and Postville High School.
Donna was united in marriage to Robert W. Harris Sr. on November 1, 1952 at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, IA. They were the proud parents of three children. Donna held various retail positions in Postville, IA, over the years. She enjoyed playing cards, hosting Christmas Around the World parties, camping and fishing. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Donna will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include three children, Bill (Leona) Harris, Postville, Paulette (Brad) Schultz, Grimes, Brad (Sheryl) Harris, Fort Atkinson; one brother Dale (Connie) Ellis; one sister Betty (Milo) Helgerson, Clermont; one brother-in-law Harold Meyer, Postville; nine grandchildren, Cameron (Dawn) Harris, Justin (Julie) Harris, Darrin (Barbara) Harris, Marston Harris, Wade (Cindy) Harris, Lisa (Jim) Haugsland, Dana (Benjamin) Hayek, Abby Harris, Brandon Harris and seven great-grandchldren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill, on February 7, 1994; two sisters, Jane (Lyle) Ruckdaschel, Doris Meyer and one brother, Gene (Karen) Ellis.
