Lawrence Wayne Miller

Services were held Saturday at Martin Brothers Funeral Home in Waukon for Lawrence Miller, 73, of rural Waukon, who died Thursday, April 23 at his home. Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery, Waukon.

Lawrence Wayne Miller, son of Hiram and Ida Arnold Miller, was born in Ludlow Township, Allamakee County, July 5, 1896 and farmed south of Waukon until his retirement eight years ago, when they moved to Waukon.

Surviving are his wife, Lucile; two daughters, Mrs. Duane (Dorothy) Bulman of Ames; Mrs. Lyle (Marie) Monthel of Altoona; two stepdaughters, Lila VanWey and Mrs. Dean (Catherine) Cannon of Manchester; two stepsons, Lester VanWey of Postville and John VanWey of Frankville, Iowa; 25 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Velma Clark of Waukon.
