Death Of Mrs. Frank Thompson
Death came to Mrs. Frank Thompson at her home in this city last evening about 10:30 o'clock. She had been critically ill with heart trouble the past couple of weeks and at times seemed to rally and improve, but late Monday took a turn for the worse.
Deceased was born Emma A. Ashbacher in French Creek township on April 22,1872, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Ashbacher. Her education was received in the county schools and in early life she was united with the Methodist Church to which she was a devoted and life long member. On March 20, 1895, she was married to Frank Thompson at the French Creek church and they went to housekeeping and lived for twenty years on the farm west of Lansing now owned by Mrs. Will Batteen.They moved to town in 1915 and this city has since been her home.
Mr. and Mrs. Thompson were the parents of five children, a son dying in infancy in 1902. She leaves to mourn her passing a sorrowful husband, three daughters,Mesdames H.W. Gaunitz and Floyd Ferris of Lansing, and Mrs. Walter Miller of Crete, Ill.; and one son, Willard, of Wheaton, Minn. She is also survived by two brothers, Lewis Ashbacher of French Creek and George of Prairie du Chien, Wis., and one sister, Mrs.Louisa Sadler of English Bench, all of whom will miss the companionship of a loving wife,mother and sister.
Mrs. Thompson was a truly Christian and charitable mother who gave freely of her time and services to her church and friends. She was a member of the R.N.A. and B. of A.Y., which organizations she belonged to until her death. Mrs. Thompson will be sadly missed by a host of friends, who will ever cherish the memory of a real friend and good woman.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Federated church, with Rev. Lloyd Bartholomew, pastor, officating. Interment in Oak Hill cemetery.___________________________________

Heart Ailment Is Fatal To Mrs. Frank Thompson At Lansing Home Tuesday
Funeral services will be held on Friday from the Federated church at Lansing for Mrs. Frank Thompson, 67, who passed away at her home in Lansing at 10:30 p.m., Tuesday night, as result of a heart ailment. Reverend Lloyd Bartholomew will officiate at the service beginning at 2 o'clock. Interment will be in Oak Hill cemetery.
They lived on Mr. Thompson's farm in French Creek township until 1915 when they moved to Lansing where they have lived for the past 24 years. They were the parents of five children four of whom survive including Mrs. H. W. Gaunitz and Mrs. floyd Ferris of Lansing, Mrs. Walter Miller of Wheaton, Ill., and Willard Thompson of Wheaton, Minn.
Mrs. Thompson is also survived by two brothers and one sister, Lewis Ashbacher of French Creek township, George Ashbacher of Prairie du Chien, and Mrs. Louisa Sadler of English Bench.
She was a member of the Methodist church, a member of the R.N.A. and the B. of A. Y.
