Rose M. Wintz, age 75, of Clarion, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2002, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City, Iowa. Funeral services were held Saturday, December 7, 2002, at the United Church of Christ Congregational in Clarion with Rev. Curt Miner officiating. Burial was in the Hitesville Cemetery, rural Aplington, Iowa. Rose Mae Weymiller was born January 28, 1927, in New Albin, the daughter of Edward A. and Rosine (Fruechte) Weymiller. She attended and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the Iowa State Teacher's College, now the University of Northern Iowa. Rose taught at Waucoma High School. On July 16, 1950, Rose was united in marriage with Harold L. Wintz at Eitzen. The couple ran the Clarion Auto Body in Clarion for 35 years. She is survived by her husband, Harold of Clarion; two daughters, Marie Kelch of Waterloo and Janis (William) Hellard of Wellington, Kan.; three grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; a brother, John (Elnora) Weymiller of Eitzen; and several nieces and nephews. Rose was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Helen K. Weymiller. The family requests that memorials be directed to Hospice of North Iowa
