Brought Here For Burial

Harry Meyers was born in Germany March 16, 1866. He came to America in 1881 or when he was about 15 years of age. He lived in several places but made his home in Dubuque for about 7 years, and has lived in Des Moines for last 24 years. He engaged in the restaurant business the most of his life.

He was united in marriage with Miss Anna Sess, at West Superior, Wis., July 11, 1892. Mrs. Meyers was also born in Germany, but reared in Allamakee county, Iowa. To this couple was born one son, William B. Meyers of Vicksburg, Mississippi.

Mr. Meyers died at Des Moines Iowa, Sept. 4, 1931, at the age of 65 years, 5 months and 18 days. The body was brought to Waukon Monday and funeral sevices were conducted at the funeral parlors of Pleumer & Bakke, Rev. Van Nice officiating. The body was buried in the cemetery at Mays Prairie. The son and his mother were in attendance at the funeral.
