New Albin Lady Is Buried Sunday
Mrs. Verona Hausman Taken Suddenly Thursday after Heart Attack At Home
Mrs. Verona Hausman, 62, passed away at her home here Thursday afternoon at two o'clock following a heart attack.
As Verona Hayes, she was born August 21, 1877, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Hayes. She was married June 18, 1902 to Louis Tabott of La Crosse and to this union three children were born Alfred, Louis, and Mrs. Marian Weymiller, all of New Albin. Mr. Tabott passed away march, 1909. On October 12, 1913, she was married to August Hausman of Waukon and they reside on a farm near here until the death of her husband who passed away March, 1918. One daughter, Mrs. Helen Hosch of St. Charles, Minn., was born to this union. Following the death of her second husband, Mrs. Hausman moved to New Albin and lived here until the time of her death.. Other survivors include six grandchildren and one brother, George Hayes, New Albin.
She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America, Mt. Oneota Camp, 2403. Members of this organization attended the funeral in a body. she was also a member of the M. E. Sunday School and Womens Foreign Missionary.
Funeral sevices were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the M. E. Church with the Reverend Bernard Kemper, pastor of the church officiating. Burial was made in the New Albin cemetery. Pallbearers were: Leo Blocker, Earl Welsh,
R. F. Jordan, Peter Hosch, J. J. Higgens, Jr. and Otto Hurley.Area newspaper no relation
