Toddler Lillian "Lilly" Pursley

Lillian "Lilly" Elizabeth Pursley, 13 months old, of Wendell, NC died Sunday, March 9, 2008. Lilly gave joy and love to her parents, brothers, sisters, church community and everyone who was in her life. She was a miracle baby and was given as a gift from God. Lilly was able to give life to four children with the donation of her organs. We love you, Lilly, and will look forward to feeling you in our hearts everyday.

Funeral mass will be offered at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 12 at St. Eugene's Catholic Church in Wendell, NC. Prayer service will be 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 11 at Strickland Funeral Home in Wendell, NC with the family to receive friends following the prayer service and other times at home.

She is survived by her parents, Jamie and Beth Pursley; brothers Jayme Pursley and his wife Nicole, and Bryan Pursley; sisters Alexia and Joanna Pursley; maternal grandparents Clair and Catherine Wagner of Lansing; paternal grandparents James and G. Christine Pursley; paternal great-grandmother Carmen Tierney of Palm Bay, FL; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family is accepting memorial contributions in memory of Lilly Pursley, Duke Children's Hospital, DUMC 2975, Durham, NC, 27710, attn: Glenn Holzapfel.
