Evelyn Johnson

Funeral services for Evelyn (Hills) Johnson, 62, a former Postville resident, were held Jan. 21, 1984 in Rialto, CA.

Evelyn Johnson, the daughter of Harley and Eva Hills, was born Jan. 31, 1921 in Postville. She died Jan. 17, 1984 at Loma Linda University Hospital, Rialto, after a long illness.

She graduated from Postville High School in 1939. She then served as a Wave in the United States Navy, after which she married Robert Johnson, Houston, TX. Following his death in 1973, she moved to California to live with her daughter, Laura, and her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a daughter, Martha.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Laura) Nickerson, and Mrs. Glen (Roberta) Allen, both of California; five grandchildren; a sister, Maxine Carr, Glenwood, MN; and a brother, Howard.
