Funeral services for Clayton C. Grahlman of Clayton, Iowa, will be held Thursday, May 14, at 1:30 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon, Iowa. He died Monday, May 11, 1981, at Lutheran hospital in La Crosse, Wisconsin. He was 61. The Rev. Robert Lueck will officiate at the services, and burial, with military service, will be in Oakland cemetery.
Clayton Grahlman was born in Alpha, Iowa, November 20, 1919. He was the son of Emil and Lena (Reisner) Grahlman.
He was a graduate of the Sumner, Iowa, high school and served in the Navy during World War II. He was a truck driver and a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist church.
November 18, 1939, he married Emerald Sires in Sumner, Iowa.
She survives as do a son, James of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two daughters, Mrs. Walter (Janice) Kurth of Luana, Iowa; and Mrs. William (June) Behrend of Waukon; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; a brother, Claude Grahlman of Waukon; and two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Velma) Ferson of Waterloo, Iowa; and Mrs. Keith (Dorothy) Schlie of Show Low, Arizona.
Pallbearers are John T. May, Thomas Rocksvold, Robert Grahlman, Mervin Sires, George Brosius and James R. May.
