He was baptized on July 25, 1915, by the Reverend Otto Wappler and confirmed August 23, 1928, by the Reverend Aloert Daugs, both in St. Paul Lutheran Church at Monona, Iowa. He attended a rural school near Postville and completed the 8th grade.
On May 24, 1938 Kenneth was married to Romilda Heins in St. Paul Lutheran Church at Postville, Iowa, by the Reverend Frederick R. Ludwig. To this union five children were born.
Kenneth and Romilda began farming near Castalia, Iowa in 1938. They owned farms in the Monona, Luana, and Postville area. In 1982 they retired from farming and moved to Postville. Retirement was a busy time for Kenneth and Romilda. They liked their work of taking care of the area cemeteries and managing apartments. Kenneth also enjoyed gathering sap from the maple trees in the Walden Pond area.
Kenneth took pride in being a farmer and trying the newest products to improve the production of his cattle and crops. He was one of the first farmers in the area to install a pipeline milking system. Although new inventions interested him, the horses he started farming with were his fondest memories. He could always remember their names and personalities.
Kenneth was a 4-H leader, a Farm Bureau member, school board member, and served on the Church Council at St. Paul Lutheran Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ross and Althea, a son, Keith Koth in 2004, a grandson, Robert Kruse in 1970, a brother, Harold (Caroline) Koth, and two sisters, Helen (Clarence) Green and Margaret Johanningmeier.

The Farmer's Version of Psalm 23
The Lord is a great Farmer, from Him comes everything I need.
He causes me to rest in the shade of the oak, and causes the tall corn to grow.
He restores my soul, and guides me down the lane of righteousness, That I might be one of His children.
Yes, I've seen crop failure, depression & stroke, but even in these, God is faithful to me, the love of my Savior comforts me.
Even in troubles and evils on every side, he blesses me beyond my imagination.
And I have this hope -- I will live with my God forever.Source: Funeral Bulletin
