Violet Mae Titus
Violet Mae Titus, 65, died Sunday morning, February 6, 2000 at the Mercy Health Center in Dubuque, IA, following an extended illness. She was born on May 6, 1934 in rural Waukon, IA, to Elmer and Alvina (Kline) Flage. She graduated from Waukon High School in 1952.
She is survived by two sons, Jeff Cady and his wife Nelda, Faribault, MN, and Kevin Titus and his wife Julie, Cedar Rapids, IA; a grandson, Kyle Titus; and a sister, Gladys Geraghty, Monona, IA.
Services were conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 8, 2000 at the Zalmona Presbyterian Church in rural Waukon, IA. The Rev. James Walker officiated. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Violet grew up in Waukon, IA, and lived for a time in Postville and Monona. She worked in Cedar Rapids, IA for awhile, and then moved to Luana and worked for Northern Engraving Co. in Waukon. Due to ill health she had resided at Scenic Acres, rural St. Olaf, IA for the past two years. She was preceded in death by her parents.
