Kennie Jones

Kennie L. Jones, age 77, died Friday, September 7, 2007 in Iowa Park, TX after a short illness. He was born in Persia, IA July 25, 1930 to Jenny Mary (Hall) and Cecil Jones.

Kennie worked at Cryovac in Cedar Rapids until transferring to Iowa Park, TX. He was employed at Cryovac for 38 years.

Kennie loved the state of Texas. He worked rodeos, hunted rattlesnakes, and looked forward to his visits to northeast Iowa, where he enjoyed fishing, hunting mushrooms and spending time with family and friends. Kennie was a Korean War Veteran and a member of the American Legion and VFW in Harpers Ferry.

Kennie is survived by his wife Millie of Iowa Park, TX; three daughters, Becky Robinson and Sherrie Lewey of Waukon, and Lisa Jones of Archer City, TX; one son, Thomas of San Antonio, TX; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
