Ralph Schulte, Sr.

Ralph Joseph Schulte, Sr., age 80, of Scottsdale, AZ passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2007. A Funeral Mass was held Friday, May 25 at Our lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Scottsdale, AZ. Burial, with a brief graveside service, was held at St. Francis Cemetery.

Ralph was born June 9, 1926 in Waukon. He was a builder in Cedar Rapids for 30 years before moving his family to Scottsdale, AZ, where they have lived for the past 23 years. He was a devoted husband and loving father.

Ralph's love for his family was evident in all of the major home construction that he provided, especially for his children. His faith was unbending and he led by example, never missing a weekly Mass. He will be remembered as an honest, straight-talking man who loved to socialize with family and friends. He is loved and will be missed.

Ralph is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jane; his son, Ralph, Jr. (Michelle); his daughters, Debbie, Jennifer, and Sue (Greg); his grandchildren, Brooke, Abby, Olivia, Joshua, Gregory and Samantha; four brothers, Greg, Don, Andy and James; one sister, Kathryn (Francis) Stortz; and a wealth of family and friends.
