Myrna Steiber, age 92, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2002. Funeral services were held in Garden Grove, Calif., where her first husband is buried. Myrna Eleanor Schulze was born April 30, 1910, to Gustave and Gertrude (Dee) Schulze in Lansing. She attended the Lansing Public Schools and, after graduation, taught at a country school for one year. In 1932, she moved to Garden Grove, Calif., with her family. On December 16, 1931, she married Charles Donohue. They had one daughter and one son. Charles died September 30, 1964, in a car accident. During World War II, Myrna worked at Douglass Aircraft as an inspector. She also worked at the Garden Grove Library as chief librarian. When her daughter and family moved to Minneapolis, Minn., Myrna moved there also and made her home between there and Lansing. On February 28, 1971, she married Leslie Steiber. When her daughter and family moved to San Antonio, Texas, in 1992, she moved there also. She belonged to the Eastern Star and was a member of the Waukon Historical Club and was president of the Senior Club in Lansing for several years. She is survived by her daughter, Jeanine (Don) Jacobs of San Antonio, Texas; son Charles of Garden Grove, Calif.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harris and John in Michigan; and three sisters, Helen Bakenhus, Orange, Calif., Gladys Troendle, and Rita Troendle of Lansing.
