Herman D. Webb
Herman Duane Webb, son of Henry and Rozilla Dresser Webb, was born on a farm near Postville on January 14, 1875. He died at his home in Postville on Sunday, December 20, 1959, following a long illness.
He attended country school, Postville Public Schools and the Upper Iowa University where he took a business course.
He was married to Ruby Webster of Postville on November 2, 1915. It was on February 25, 1946 that Ruby Webster Webb died.
On March 24, 1948 Herman Webb was married to Anna Kendall in the Trinity United Presbyterian Church at North Long Beach, California.
A good portion of Mr. Webb's life was spent in farming and in managing farms.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.
Herman Webb is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anna Webb of Postville; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Thias of Forest Grove, Oregon and Mrs. Eva Fay of Postville.
Herman Webb united with the Community Presbyterian Church of Postville on April 4, 1943. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Eastern Star.
Funeral services were held at the Community Presbyterian Church, Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Walter T. Martin in charge of the rites. Burial was in the Postville cemetery.
