Rites Held For Former Resident
The Rev. Paul Mueller officiated at funeral services in Faith Lutheran Church at Harshaw, Wisconsin for John D., Lawson, 64, of Harshaw, who died Saturday evening, December 6, in the Veterans' Hospital at Wood, after an extended illness. Burial was in the Harshaw cemetery.
Mr. Lawson was born October 6, 1894, in Postville, Iowa. He was a World War I veteran and had farmed at Harshaw for many years.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Agnes Lawson; two daughters and four sons: Mrs. Bernard Allen, Irma, Mrs. Walter Peterson, Marathon, John Lawson Cambridge, Earl Lawson, Madison, and Richard and Edward Lawson, Harshaw; three stepchildren, Mrs. Robert Perkins, Oak Lawn, Illinois; Mrs. Vernon Zoller, Lemont, Illinois; and Vernon Rasmussen, Chicago; four brothers and two sisters, Frank, Fred and Sherman Lawson, Postville, Leonard Lawson and Mrs. Louis Peterson, Waukon, and Mrs. Michael Weber, Cedar Rapids, and 25 grandchildren.
