ANNA LOUISE MARTHA SCHNUELLE

Anna Louise Martha Schnuelle, daughter of Simon and Elizabeth (Heins) Schnuelle, was born Sept. 14, 1913 in Postville, Allamakee County, Iowa. She died Wednesday, April 20, 1994 at her home in rural Ossian, Iowa. She was 80.

She was baptized Jan. 17, 1914 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville, by the Rev. Richard Kuehne. Anna attended the Highland School near her home. She has lived and worked most of her life in Winneshiek County.

She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Will, Clarence and Fritz Schnuelle; and four sisters, Elsie Colvin, Clara Schultz, Vila Mathis and Laura Ihde. Surviving are two sisters, Marie Ihde and Lydia Schnuelle, both of Ossian, Iowa.

Funeral services for Miss Anna L. Schnuelle were held Saturday, April 23 at the Schutte Funeral Home in Postville, the Rev. Howard R. Wolfgram officiating. Special music was provided by soloist Andrew C. Last, accompanied by Michael J. Elsbernd, organist. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery. A lunch was served at the Zion Lutheran Church in Castalia, by the Ruth Circle. Casket bearers were Arthur Ihde, Clinton Schnuelle, Arno Hilmer, Gene Schnuelle, Raymond Schnuelle, and Dean Herrmann.
