Milton J. White

Milton J. White, 73, of Marion, died Wednesday, March 13. 1991 at Mercy Medical Center following a long illness. Services were held Saturday, March 16 in Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Burial was in Cedar Memorial Park.

Survivors include his wife Shirley, 2 stepsons, Matt Burns of Cedar Rapids, and Chris Burns of Isleton, California, four brothers, Linton of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Lee of Postville, Howard of Longmont, Colorado, and Dr. John White of Comstock Park, Michigan, and one sister, Viola Doudney of Postville. He is also survived by two step-grandchildren.

Milton was born February 25, 1918, in Postville. He married Shirley Burns on July 26, 1980, in Marion. He was a self-employed carpenter retiring in 1979. He then established Whites Wood Craft in Marion. He was a WW II US Army Veteran. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Mercy or to the American Cancer Society.
