Word was received of the death of Wallace Long, Aug. 9, 1964, at Morgan Nursing Home in Stockton, Ill.

He was born May 19, 1879, at Dorchester and was the oldest son of Daniel and Nancy (Duff) Long.

He was raised in Allamakee county and then wed Dora Burke at Woodbine, Ill. in 1907 and remained near there since then. They had no children of their own and raised a nephew, Clifford Burke. He survives, as do his hife and two sisters, Mrs. Edith Reeder of Decorah, and Mrs. Eliza Mohwinkle of Waukon.

A brother preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held Tueday, August 4, at 2 p.m. at the Methodist church in Elizabeth, Ill. with burial there.

Pallbearers were from the Elizabeth area. Flower girls were Connie and Sharon Burke and Connie Reierson.
