Last Rites for William McMillan

Final rites for William M. McMillan, 84, Rossville, will be held thursday, Dec. 15 at 1:30 p.m. in Martin funeral home, Waukon. The Rev. Wm. Tjaden will officiate and burial will be in Rossville cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dave Snitker, George Ashbacher, John Beisker, Joe Norton, -----Fish,and Sidney McClintock.

He died Saturday, Dec 10 at Galesburg, IL hospital.

He was a retired farmer, having been born Jan 16, 1893 in Boscobel, WI to David and Elizabeth Shuff McMillan. He attended the local schools and married Florence Edna Hawkins April 10, 1914 in Waukon. She preceded him in death in 1971.

Surviving are two sons, Carlyle of Galesburg and Donald of El Paso, TX, a sister Mrs. Vern (Marguerite)Dundee of Castalia, seven grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

A daughter Marguerite and three sisters, Lottie, Mamie and Frances, preceded him in death.
