Service Held In Lansing for Richard McKee

Richard James McKee, 73, of Lansing, died on Sunday, April 22, at his home.

He was born on April 18, 1911 on a farm about four miles north of Lansing, the son of James and Alty (Patterson) McKee. He married Evelyn Knopf on September 29, 1941. He is survived by his wife; five sons, Jim, Roy, Tom and Don of Lansing, and Bob of De Soto, Wis; Two daughters, Mrs. Albert (Carolyn) Russell of Mazomanie, WI, and Mrs. Bruce (Rita) Clark of Viroqua, WI, and 16 grandchildren.

Also surviving are four brothers, Ernest and Cletus of Lansing, Cyril of Waukon, and Devillo of Caledonia, MN, and three sisters, Mrs. Louis (Drusilla) Johnson of Manchester, Mrs. Robert (Della) Reed of Lansing, and Mrs. Emmett (Aleatha) Johnson of Decorah.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 24 at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic church. Rev. Robert Rahe officiated and burial was in Gethsemane cemetery.

Pallbearers were James McKee, Tom McKee, Roy McKee, Bob McKee, Albert Russell and Scott Russell.

The Burke-Thornburg funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
