William Kelly, 81, of New Albin, died Friday, February 12, 1988 at Thornton Manor.

He was born November 28, 1906 in New Albin, the son of John F. and Margaret (Ken­ny) Kelly. He never married. He worked for the City of Detroit and for Chrysler in Detroit for many years. He was a veteran of World War II, serving from 1942 until 1945.

He is survived by two sisters, Norma Kelly of Phila­dephia, Pa. and Verda Cronk of Waukon.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Funeral services were held on Monday, February 15 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in New Albin. Rev. Henry Charipar officiated.

Military rites were conducted at graveside by New Albin VFW Post 5603.

Pallbearers were James Hosch, Herbert Zarwell, Del­bert Fink, Mike Burke, Larry Donahue and Joe Reburn.

The Burke-Thornburg fun­eral home was in charge of arrangements.
