Mrs. Edward Haas
Mrs. Edward Haas passed away Friday at the Lutheran Hospital, LaCrosse, where she was taken two weeks ago. She had been suffering with a complication of diseases for many months, peritionitis developing.
Hedwig Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Valentine Miller, deceased, was born at Freeburg, Minn., Dec. 10, 1891. When she was eleven years old the family moved to Caledonia, Monn.
On April 9, 1913, whe was united in marriage to Edward Haas of Caledonia, who with her sisters are grief stricken, at the loss of such a fine companion, homemaker, and kind neighbor, and friend. She was a very active member in the Royal Neighbor Lodge.
Beside her husband she is survived by her sisters, Mrs. Matt Krier, Mrs. Jas. Dosser, of Caledonia, Miss Matilda Miller, LaCrosse, Wis., and Mrs. Wm. Haas, Waukon, all of whom attended the funeral, which was held Monday morning at St. Patrick's Church with mass by Father McDonald. Burial was at Lycurgus.
Her aunt, Mrs. Will Miller and a cousin Leo Miller and wife of Watertown, Wis.; and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Rausch of Ft. Atkinson, Wis.; attended the funeral.
