Mrs. James Cummings
Helen Florence Cummings, 46, at 947 Center Point road NE, widow of James Cummings, died Monday following a long illness. Formerly of Lansing, she had been a Cedar Rapids, resident 30 years. Born April 26, 1928, at New Albin, she was married Dec. 22, 1961, in Iowa City. She had been employed by Wilson and Co., from 1946 to 1966, retiring due to ill health in 1966.
Surviving are her mother, Mrs. William Wiemerslage, West Branch; four sisters, Mrs. Carl Strub, Lansing, Mrs. Kenneth Oseth, Cedar Rapids, Esther Bolsinger, Marion, and Dorothy Wiemerslage, Grinnell, and a brother, Earl W. Wiemerslage, Council Bluffs.
Services: 1 p.m. Wednesday in Chapel of Memories by the Rev. David F. Larson of St. Mark’s Lutheran church. Burial: Cedar Memorial. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial funeral home after 1 p.m. Tuesday and at the chapel after 9 a.m. Wednesday. The casket will be closed at 12:45 p.m.
