Herman Heinrich "Henry" Welper 1843 - 1911

Herman Heinrich Welper was born on February 22, 1843, in Settrup, Hanover, Germany. In 1870 he emigrated to this country and was married in 1871 to Anna Adelheit Hagen.

The family lived on a farm in Union City township until 1902, and then moved to New Albin, owing to the poor health of the deceased. For some time he had been troubled with nervousness, which got worse as the years wore on. Two weeks ago his affliction took on a serious turn, and in spite of medical assistance and devoted care on the part of his family, he departed this life on January 15, 1911.
