The death of this aged resident of Lansing occurred at his home on the Park, Sunday, October 6th, at 12:15 p.m., after a protracted illness with a complication of diseases. He had been a rugged man in his youth, and worked hard until coming to Lansing a few years ago to spend his declining years. His son Otto lived with him and gave him every care and attention possible.

Fredrich W. Worm, born Apr.18, 1844 in Staffelde, Soldin, Germany. There on February 11th, 1869, he was married to Miss Augusta Wilhelmine Dee. They came to America on April 20th, 1878 and settled in Allamakee county, living in different localities before buying a farm in Center township. Eight children were born to them, three boys and five girls, two of the latter dying in infancy, and one, Mrs. Will Blumer, at Wolcott, N.D. He is survived by his aged wife, three sons, Paul of Park Rapids, Minn., Alvin of Waukon, and Otto at home: and two daughters, Mrs. John Riser of Torrington, Wyo., and Mrs. A. J. Nathan of Bismark, N.D. Also eighteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren are left to morn. Only the sons Alvin and Otto wre able to attend the funeral. Mr. Worm was an honest, upright man, and for forty-one years had belonged to the German Evangelical church. The funeral takes place this, Wednesday, afternoon, at 2 o'clock from the German Presbyterian church, Revs. Lantow and Kegel offciating. Interment will be made in peaceful Oak Hill cemetery.
