Pete Jangula, 80, of Lansing, IA died Saturday April 23, 2005 at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse, WI.
He was born in Aberdeen, SD on July 15, 1924 to Peter and Anna (Wangler) Jangula. He married Lucille Weber on November 24, 1951 at Lansing. He was employed by the Milwaukee Railroad for over forty years, retiring on July 1, 1985. Former member of the Lansing Lions Club, and over the years was active with his church activities.
He is survived by three children Michael (Kathy) Jangula of Lansing, IA, John (Mickey) Jangula of Brownsville, amd Pam (Adrian) Elliott of Spring Valley, WI; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters Barbara Preston and Mickey Hanson both of Portland OR.
Peter was preceded in death by his wife Lucille on October 4, 1989; an infant daughter Catherine Mary in June l959; three grandchildren; and four sisters, Katie, Rose, Anna Mary and Betty.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 27 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lansing with Fr. Daniel Knipper officiating. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery in Lansing.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Thornburg Funeral Home in Lansing, where there will be a Parish Scripture Service at 4:15 p.m.The Caledonia Argus 25 Apr 2005
