Rosemary Richardson

Rosemary Richardson, 94, of Harpers Ferry died Sunday, October 15, 2006 at her home. Services were held Thursday, October 19 at St. Ann's/St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Harpers Ferry, with Fr. Louis Trzil officiating. Burial was in Paint Rock Cemetery. Hanson Funeral Home of Waukon assisted the family with arrangements.

Rosemary was born February 29, 1912 in Waterloo to John H. and Lucy May (Heddinger) Collins. She was a bookkeeper and a housewife, and she was a member of St. Ann's/St. Joseph's Church.

September 2, 1933 she married Ben B. Richardson in Waterloo. He was a house mover and owned a lumber yard. They lived in Waterloo and Harpers Ferry.

Survivors include two sons, John and Jim, both of Harpers Ferry; one daughter, Sharon Cagley of Rockville, MD; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister, Darlene Johnson; and a brother, John Collins.

Casketbearers were Gary Johnson, Del Johnson, Pat Johnson, Herb Platten, Wally Kubik, and Ron Benzing.
