Winfred (Mullen) Warzinik Anderson

1923-2006

Winifred "Georgia" Anderson, age 83, of the Harmony Living Center, Stevens Point, passed away October 21, 2006 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with Rev. Al Jakubowski officiating. Interment followed the service at Guardian Angel Cemetery.

Georgia was born August 2, 1923 to the late George & Winifred (Mullen) Rouster in Lansing. She grew up there and attended the local grade schools. Georgia graduated from Immaculate Conception High School. She then went on to study at St. Frances School of Nursing in La Crosse, WI. After graduating and earning her RN, she was employed at the Merrill Hospital. Georgia later became employed at St. Michaels Hospital. She retired from St. Michaels in 1976 as an Employee Health Nurse.

She married George P Warzinik in 1946. They later separated. In 1976, Georgia married Oliver A. Anderson. He preceded her in death in 2003.

Georgia was a people person. She loved visiting with her close friends and had the "Irish gift of gab". In earlier years, Georgia enjoyed traveling, cooking, baking, gardening, and watching high school sports. When feeling lucky, she liked to visit the "money place". She loved her friends, family, and grandchildren.

Survivors include sons, George Warzinik of Marshall, Jim (Sue) Warzinik of Stevens Point, Mike Warzinik of Stevens Point; step-brother, Emmett (Bobbie) Dowdal of Birchwood, MN; step children, Christine (Jay) Shaw of Wauwatosa, Joel (Cheryl) Anderson of Stevens Point, Doreen (Dan) Sayles of Wauwatosa, & William (Cheryl) Anderson of Montello; grandchildren, George (Kerrie) Warzinik, Brian Warzinik, Deanna Warzinik, Daniel (Clare) Stoltz; Elizabeth Warzinik, Michele Warzinik, Jamie Warzinik, Jason (Kelly) Warzinik, & Amy Warzinik; and great granddaughter Zoe.

She is preceded in death by her parents and son, Tom.
