Rites Held for Henry Warnholtz

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Schutte Funeral Home here for Henry C. Warnholtz 76, who passed away Wednesday, March 24, following a heart attack. Rev. Charles E. Witt, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, was in charge. Burial was in the Postville cemetery.

Henry Carl Warnholtz died at the home of his brother, Charles Warnholtz of Postville, on Wednesday, March 24, at the age of 76. He had been making his home there for the past few months. Death resulted from a heart attack.

Mr. Warnholtz was born April 3, 1877 in Fayette County, and lived in this area all of his life, being engaged in farming most of this time. he was baptized and confirmed in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Postville.

He was preceded in death by one brother, William and three sisters, one who died shortly after birth, and Elizabeth (Mrs. John Schlee), and Lena (Mrs. Fred Harnack), and his parents.

He is survived by two brothers, Charles of Postville, and Jack of Floyd, Iowa, and five sisters, Mrs Bertha Woods of Floyd, Iowa, Mrs. Herman Nuehring (Eda) of Waterville, Mrs. Emma Crandall of St. Louis, Mrs. Martin Halvorson, (Mamie) of Waukon, and Mrs. Floyd Madson (Frieda) of California. Note: Year of death 1954
