OUR MOTHER
A carefree young mother, trudging along.
Working and toiling from earliest dawn.
Scrubbing wee faces, and mending stubbed toes.
Washing and ironing to keep each one clothed.
Sturdily trudging, too weary to think.
A middle-aged mother not daring to shrink.
From the toil and the hurry and the work never done.
Patiently waiting till the battle was won.
An ageing dear mother with eyes growing dim.
Waiting the summons to come unto Him.
Gladly and patiently placing her all.
In the hands of her Jesus waiting His call.
A mother now facing with courage and vim.
The long road that reaches to Heaven and Him.
Wonderful tho't - we'd none of us smother.
Dearly Beloved Our own precious Mother. The services were held at the Baptist church January 3, 1952 at 1:30 p. m. Howard Roseberry minister of the Church of Christ. Fairmont, Minn., conducted the services assisted by Rev. Williams pastor of the Baptist church.
The music was provided by Mrs. Carl Ferry and Mr. Fred Nelson. The casket bearers were A. I. Warren, Jim Mansell, Fred Schoonover, Harry Saltsgaver, F. B. Wilson and Wilbur Shaw.
