CHRISTOPH GEORGE HAHN

Rites Are Held For Former Postville Man

Funeral services were held in Monona on February 12 for Christoph George Hahn, who passed away February 3 at his home in Cincinnati, Ohio. Rev. R. C. Shlueter officiated. Burial was in Monona city cemetery.

Christoph George Hahn, son of John and Anna Hahn, was born on a farm at Henderson Prairie, Fayette county, on December 22, 1876

At the age of 21 he left Postville and for several years worked with a telephone company in the Dakotas and California. The last 32 years he had been a resident of Cincinnati, where for 22 years he was in the employ of the Gas and Electric Company of that city.

He was stricken with a heart attack in July of last year while attending church and had been in failing health since then. He passed away February 8 at the age of 73 years.

He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Lena Meyer of Beloit, Wisconsin and Mrs. L. H. (Anna) Schroeder of Postville. Every summer for the past 15 years he had visited relatives in Postville and vicinity. His parents, two sisters and a brother, preceded him in death.
