LaVonne Corrigan

LaVonne Corrigan, age 66, of Decorah, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2006, at her home, of complications relating to diabetes and congestive heart failure.

LaVonne Frances was born June 6, 1940, in Waukon, Iowa, to Francis and Lena (Brecht) Liddiard. LaVonne attended schools in West Ridge and St. Patrick's in Waukon. LaVonne married Patrick Corrigan May 27, 1961, in West Ridge, Iowa. Over the years, they lived in Cedar Rapids, Waukon, and Decorah.

LaVonne Corrigan is survived by her husband, Patrick of Decorah; seven children, Jim (Nan) Corrigan of Ramsey, Minn., Matt (Carrie) Corrigan of Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., Larry (Amy) Corrigan of Young America, Minn., Kathy (Mike) Starks of Lake Tapps, Wash., Patty (Scott) Bridell of St. Michael, Minn., Nancy Kelly of Winchester, Va., and Kelly Corrigan of Decorah; 15 grandchildren, Kyle Bridell, Matthew Kelly, Ben Bridell, Jordan Starks, Brandon Starks, Logan Kelly, Ryan Kelly, Landon Bridell, Sean Corrigan, Bradley Corrigan, Carissa Corrigan, Riley Corrigan, Christopher Corrigan, Katie Alery, and Becky Alery; her brother Phil Liddiard of Waukon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

LaVonne is preceded in death by her father, Francis Liddiard; her mother, Lena (Brecht) Liddiard; and son-in-law, Mike Kelly.

Memorial services were held Wednesday, September 6, 2006, at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, Decorah. Father Gary Krapfl officiated. Interment was at St. Benedict's Catholic Cemetery, Decorah.
