Carlton Teff Of Dorchester Dies Monday
Carlton J. Teff, 73, died at his home in Dorchester Monday, Aug. 20, 1984.
Teff, a retired farmer, was born in Dorchester Nov. 25, 1910, the son of Hiliar and Amelia (Hoffman) Teff. He attended local schools and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic church in Dorchester. He wa also an avid antique collector and amember of the Allamakee County Historical society. He and the former Bernadette Klug were married in Caledonia, MN Feb. 12, 1935.
She survives as do the following sons and daughters: Joseph of Dorchester, Mrs. David (Elizabeth) Nutter of La Crosse, WI, Mrs. Gerald (Joan) Berg of Decorah, Leo of Cedar Rapids, Kenneth of Farmington, MN, James of Sleepy Eye, MN, Thomas of Dorchester, Mrs. Mike (Angela) Vandrashata of La Crosse, Lloyd of Dorchester, Gregory of Coon Rapids, MN, Mrs. Dale (Debra) Herrmann of Waukon, George of Dorchester and Mrs. Douglas (Carol) Bakkum of Paddock Lake, WI. Also surviving are 30 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two step - grandchildren, and two sisters: Caroline DeWulf of Manchester and Elizabeth Windles of Adams, MN. He was predeceased by a brother Leo, grandson James Berg and great - granddaughter Amanda Berg.
Funeral services were held at St. Mary’s church in Dorchester at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22. The Rev. Charles Kruse officiated and burial was in the church cemetery. Martin’s funeral home was in charge of arrangement.
Pallbearers were Leo Klug, Arnold Klug, Merlin Nelson, Frank Schulte, Eddie Morken and Dale Schwartzhoff.Allamakee Cty newspaper
