SERVICES HELD FOR

LORENA HECKMANN

Funeral services were held Monday,March 10, at St. Paul Lutheran Church Postville for Lorena M . Heckmann who died March 7,at the Great River Care Center,McGregor. The Rev. Norman Ullestad officiated. Interment was in the Postville Cemetery.

Lorena Mary Wilhelmine Heckmann, the daughter of Louis and Minnie Muckow Heckman,was born on a farm near Postville,December 10,1900. She lived on the farm until 1936 when she moved to Postville.

She was baptized February 24,1901 and confirmed March 28,1915 into the St. Paul Lutheran Church,Postville. She was active in the Church and the LCW.

For many years she was employed at the Hotel Commercial and did housework for local residents.

Preceding her in death were her parents,four brothers;Arthur,Elmer,Arbie,and Edgar,two nephews and two nieces.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. George(Rosena)Kinsel of Independence; s sister-in-law,Mrs. Arbie Heckmann of Postville; 2 nieces and nephews and other relatives.
