Ruth Dee Franck Machacek, 53, of 1719 B St. SW, died Friday, April 14, 1995, in her home after a long illness. Services: 1 p.m. Tuesday, Brosh Chapel, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. William Harnish will officiate. Burial: Oak Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Robert "Rusty"; a daughter, Kim Turley and husband Eveard; three sons, Mike and wife Tami, Delbert Alan and Daniel; her mother, Florence Dee; two sisters, Maxine Franck and Colleen Martens, all of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Richard Dee of Robins; and eight grandchildren.

Born Sept. 28, 1941, in Waukon, Ruth was the daughter of Delbert and Florence Miller Dee. She married Dean Franck on July 28, 1960, in Cedar Rapids. He died in 1979. She later married Rusty Machacek on May 28, 1982, in Cedar Rapids. A resident of Cedar Rapids for most of her life, Ruth was a waitress and cook at Konecny's Restaurant for more than 20 years. She was a member of WFLA 423.
