DEATH SUMMONS MRS. THOMAS FULLERTON
Passed Away Early This Morning Following Illness of Several Months.

The death of Mrs. Thomas Fullerton occurred at an early hour this morning at the hospital in Independence where she had been taken a week ago for treatment. While her illness was known to be of a serious nature, the family had no idea the end was so near and the news over the wires about midnight of the change for the worse, followed in a few minutes by word of her death came as a sad shock to them.

Mrs. Fullerton's illness dates from last September when her health broke following the death of her brother, Frank Thomas. Believing she would be benefitted by treatment in the Independence hospital, she was taken there a week ago Tuesday. Word from there Saturday indicated she was failing, but no further word was received until the messages this morning.

Deceased's maiden name was Elizabeth Thomas and we understand she was born in Allamakee county and lived her entire life in this locality. She was born in May, 1878, being just past forty-nine years of age at death. She is survived, by her husband and two daughters, Myrl and Lorna, both at home. Several brothers also survive, some of them residing in Canada.

At this writing no arrangements for the funeral have been made. Mr. Fullerton and daughters left early this morning for Independence to accompany the remains home.
