Otto A. Helming
Representative from Allamakee county was born on a farm in Ludlow township, Allamakee county, March 9, 1868, of German parentage. He attended the rural schools near his home and for two winters attended college at Waukon, Iowa. Was married to Miss Lena Wittenberg of Wisconsin in 1902. Their family consists of two daughters. His chief occupation has been farming, but for six years was township assessor, prior to his election to the legislature in 1912. Was a member of the 35th general assembly. Re-elected in 1914.
