J.H. Hager
Representative from Allamakee county, was born in that county, August 30, 1871. Received his education in the rural schools and at the Breckenridge Preparatory and business institute of Decorah, Iowa. Was quartermaster sergeant, company I, 49 Iowa Vol. infantry, during the Spanish-American war. In 1895, he engaged in the farm implement business at Waukon, and in 1908 added the buick line of cars and is continuing in that business at the present time. Was married June 14, 1905, to Grace Falby, formerly of Burlington, Vermont. Member of the Presbyterian church, Shrine consistory and K.P. lodge, a charter member of the Kiwanis club and served three years as president of the chamber of commerce. Elected representative in 1924 and 1926.
