Albert M. Fellows

Senator from the 40th district, composed of Allamakee and Fayette counties, was born in Allamakee county, March 1, 1864. His father was born in Vermont and came to Iowa at an early age and served as representative in the 11th general assembly and as senator in the 12th & 13th general assemblies and for twenty years was judge of the 13th Judicial district of Iowa. His mother was a native of New York. He obtained his education in the public schools of Lansing and the Upper Iowa University at Fayette. Served the city of Lansing for eight years as councilman and four years as mayor. Married Miss Elsie Smith of Cresco, Iowa, in 1889. Has one daughter and five sons. Is engaged in the lumber business and is president of the Peoples State Bank at Lansing, Iowa. Elected senator in 1912. A republican in politics
