Hans and Caroline Christofferson were natives of Norway, who came from that country to America and located in Allamakee county. In 1900 they purchased 200 acres of land in section 25 of Bloomfield Township, Winneshiek Co. Iowa. They were the parents of 4 children:
1.Carl Rueben, b. Nov. 22, 1879; who married Lena Koenig
2. Albert
3. Anna; who married Blake Rathbun
4. Herman
