I am the Republican candidate for County Auditor and I expect to make as thorough canvas of the county as possible in the short time before the election, but it will be practically impossible for me to see all the voters between now and election day, and I know of no other way by which I can reach you so effectively as through the press, so I herewith briefly present my case to you for your consideration.
I was born and raised in Ludlow township. After passing through the district schools I attended the Nora Springs Seminary and Business College from which I graduated in 1908. I also graduated from the Decorah Business College in 1909. I then served one year as bookkeeper in the First National Bank of Beach, N.D., and since then I have been manager and secretary of the Ludlow Co-Operative Creamery. My work during these years has largely been that of a bookkeeper and accountant, and I feel that I am thoroughly qualified and competent to fill the office.
If I should be elected I will perform the duties of the office carefully, faithfully and honestly - ever keeping in mind the best interests of the people.
Respectfully soliciting the support of the voters, I am,
Yours truly,
Wm F. Shafer(the photo accompanied the political advertisement)
